East Austin nonprofit Chula League’s 18th Annual Cherrywood Art Fair, to be held on December 7 & 8, 2019, is looking for an experienced Photographer for the Fair.
This person will work closely with our staff to ensure that the photography captures the essence of the Cherrywood Art Fair and requested image setups from detailed shot list.
The candidate must be creative, comfortable approaching strangers, highly organized, and will be solely responsible for this aspect of the Fair. Candidate should have professional experience in event photography.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate with Managing Director to review the Cherrywood Art Fair shot list plan (supplied to Photographer at least 2 weeks prior to Fair), their compositional requirements and best timing to shoot
- Photograph both days of Fair weekend
- Photograph up to two designated TBD Fair-related special events like Volunteer Orientation or Artist Preview Pop-Up (if schedules allow once events are confirmed)
- Upload both hi-res digital and edited set of lo-res watermarked photos taken at Cherrywood Art Fair to designated Chula League Google Drive folder
- Add short identifying tags/captions for known artist booths, food vendors or performers using “Add a description” fields in lo-res image folder within 2 weeks of uploading final images
- Provide professional biographical information for Team page on website
- Participate in post-event team survey and team debrief meeting
Requirements:
- Professional photography experience
- Full online and print usage rights granted to Chula League and the Cherrywood Art Fair for promotional use of all submitted fair photos
- Interest in and knowledge of Cherrywood Art Fair
- Google Drive experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Team-player with a good sense of humor and positive attitude are major assets
